Three people were arrested on the strength of existing warrants on Monday.
Police say that the first was a 31-year-old Brandon man who turned himself in after learning that he was wanted by police. He had allegedly failed to comply with the conditions of his probation. Police took him into custody and held him overnight to appear in court Tuesday morning.
Then, on Monday evening, officers on patrol recognized a 25-year-old Brandon man walking in the downtown area and knew there was a warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested on the strength of a warrant for assault, uttering threats, and mischief to property and was also held overnight to appear in court Tuesday morning.
Police also got a tip that a 46-year-old woman, for whom an arrest warrant existed, was staying at a motel in the 2700-block Victoria Avenue. They quickly found her and arrested on on the strength of a warrant for theft under $5,000. She was later released to appear in court on July 24.
