Mounties and Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health are coordinating an investigation after the death of a tow truck driver early this morning on the Trans-Canada Highway.
Portage la Prairie RCMP were called to the highway at Road 70 West, near the community of Sidney, just past 3 a.m. on Monday, where a crash had been reported.
They say a 39-year-old man, a tow truck operator, was killed while attempting to assist a stranded vehicle.
Although an autopsy has been ordered, police say they have no more information to release.
