UPDATED: Tractor collides with train

Emergency vehicles are at the scene of a collision between a train and a tractor near the junction of Highway 464 and the Trans-Canada Highway.
A collision between a train and a farm tractor at an uncontrolled CP rail crossing in North Cypress has sent one person to hospital, the RCMP reports.
At approximately 11:50 am., RCMP from Brandon and Carberry, as well as emergency services from Carberry, were dispatched to the scene of a Canadian Pacific uncontrolled Railway crossing, situated just south of the Trans Canada highway on road 93W.
Investigation has determined that a John Deer tractor operated by a 44 year old RM of South Cypress farmer, was struck by an east bound Canadian Pacific train. The collision occurred at an uncontrolled crossing on road 93W in the RM of North Cypress.
The tractor operator has been taken to hospital by ambulance for further assessment and treatment. His condition is unknown at this time. There were no other individuals injured in the crash.
RCMP continue to investigate the collision, with the assistance of Canadian Pacific rail officials and an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
