The band Trooper will play Rock the Block in Brandon this fall.

The Brandon University Students’ Union has announced this year’s Rock the Block lineup.

Taking the stage on Rosser Avenue between Seventh and Ninth streets in September will be Canadian singer-songwriter Alyssa Reid, pop band These Kids Wear Crowns and rock group Trooper.

Tickets for the annual event go on sale Friday and will be made available at the BUSU office or by calling 204-727-9660.

BUSU announced this year’s lineup via their Rock the Block Facebook page with a short 35 second video.

Rock the Block is the local university’s annual orientation concert, held at the end of orientation week at the beginning of September.

Previous acts have included Dallas Smith, Sheepdogs, and Midway State.
