Truck breaks down, is stolen

Talk about going from bad news to worse.

The owner of a truck who was forced to leave it at a rural intersection when it broke down later went back only to find it missing.

Brandon RCMP say that the apparent theft was reported on Jan. 24, but that the break-down happened on New Year's Day.

The 1994 Ford F150 had broken down at a rural intersection in the RM of Cornwallis, and had had to be left there. However, when the owner went to retrieve it, the truck was missing.

Although local towing companies have been checked, no one know where the truck has gone. Police are asking anyone with information about the truck to call them at 204-725-7522, or to contact Crime Stoppers.
