Two Dauphin teens arrested for break-in

Quick response by Mounties from two detachments helped them nab suspects in a Thursday evening break-in in Gilbert Plains.

Police were called just before 7 p.m. to the in-progress break-and-enter, and officers from both the Grandview and Dauphin RCMP detachments were able to respond within about 10 minutes.

The home had been entered but the suspects had already run off. However, based on witness descriptions, officers were able to locate and apprehend them moments later. Officers recovered money and other articles believed to have been stolen from the home.

Christopher Lyle James Brazeaux and Tyson Lee James Bogoslowski, both 18 and both from Dauphin, have each been charged with a number of criminal offences, including break and enter and possession of stolen property. They have each been remanded in custody to appear in Dauphin court on April 30.

No one was home at the time of the break in and police say they continue to investigate.
