Police say they made a quick arrest after someone threw rocks through a gas bar's windows early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to an alarm in the 900-block of 18th Street North, around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, where they found smashed windows in the gas bar's kiosk. A 15-year-old Brandon boy was spotted nearby, and eventually admitted to police that he had thrown the rocks on a dare issued by another boy.
He was arrested and has been charged with michief under $5,000, although he's since been released to a guardian. Police say they're still investigating, and charges against more people may be laid.
Meanwhile, officers also laid new charges in a vandalism case from early May.
They arrested a 16-year-old boy Sunday evening for his involvement in damaging a vehicle on May 9. He's the second of two suspects to be charged, and although he's been released, he's got a date in court on July 29, where he'll face a charge of mischief to property under $5,000.
