Brandon Fire and Emergency Services personnel respond to a four-vehicle collision involving a school bus at 18th Street and Richmond Avenue on Monday afternoon. No one was seriously injured in the crash, but two people were transported by ambulance to hospital.

The woman driving a minivan and a child who was her passenger were taken to hospital as a precaution, police say, after they were rear-ended by a school bus yesterday afternoon. Two other vehicles were hit in a chain reaction, but no other injuries were reported.

Police say that it appears the school bus was headed south on 18th Street just before 4 p.m. when it rear-ended a minivan that was waiting to turn left on Richmond Avenue.

The impact drove the minivan forward into another vehicle, which in turn struck the one ahead of it.

There were a total of nine children on the school bus and three children and an adult driver in the minivan.

Police continue to investigate.
