Two girls reported victims of sex abuse

Two girls under the age of 10, as well as their even younger sister, have been taken in by Child and Family Services after allegations that they were physically and sexually abused by their custodial parents.

Parkland RCMP say that the children were oten not fed and that they were locked in their roms for most of the day. The two older girls were also forced to perform sexual acts.

Police were tipped off about the abuse on Aug. 7. They say the parents have been arrested, but that neither their names, nor the exact location of their home wil be revealed to protect the identities of the children.

Both parents face a laong list of charges, including sexual assault, making child pornography, assault with a weapon, failure to provide the necessities of life, forcible confinement, corrupting morals, sexual exploitation of a young person, sexual interference, assault and invitation to sexual touching.

They were to appear in Dauphin court today.

Police say that the RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit is assisting with the investigation.
