SIFE Brandon Hosts Spring City Wide Clean Up and Launches Green Futures North
A student group will celebrate the grand opening of their urban farm — but not until after they help clean up the city.

Students In Free Enterprise, or SIFE, will start the day on May 12 b helping with a city-wide clean-up. They'll then take a break for a barbecue, before official opening their new erban garden at 2 p.m. that day.

Called Green Futures North, the urban farm is located at 100 Stickney Ave. and consists of 85 raised garden beds. This gives families the opportunity to grow and sell their own fresh produce to help generate extra income.

Working with the Samaritan House, SIFE Brandon has identified 60 families who will benefit most of these gardens. Another 10 of these garden beds to grow fresh produce for the Samaritan House food bank.
