Victoria Avenue East to stay closed for weeks yet

Victoria Avenue East is going to stay closed for a few more weeks, the city says.

Crews are still working, near 33rd Street East, as the city upgrades sewer lines in the area. The work is necessary, the city says, for both the wastewater treatment facility and the water reclamation facility.

The city didn't give a date when they expected the road to re-open — only that it would be closed for several more weeks.

The road has been closed since July 10 and was originally expected to re-open tomorrow.
