Brandon Sun - ONLINE EDITION

Warm and sunny today and tomorrow

Hope you like the mid-twenties: Evironment Canada is calling for a lot of that in the next while.

Today's forecast calls for mainly sunny skies with a high of 26ºC. That'll bring a UV Index of 8, which is considered very high.

Clear skies tonight will see an overnight low of 13ºC, but tomorrow will be pretty much the same as today, with sun in the sky and a high of 26ºC. There will be a light breeze tomorrow, however, early in the evening, at about 20 km/h from the southeast.

Thursday's a different story. It'll still be kind of warm, at 23ºC, but it will be cloudy, and there's a good chance of showers through the day.

Sun returns for a bit on Friday, with a high of 26ºC, before clouds roll in for Saturday. That day will get to a high of 25ºC, although there's a moderate chance of showers.

Sunday earns its name with clearing skies and a high of 25ºC.

At this point Monday looks like a return to form, with a high of 25ºC and more sun.

The normal high for this time of year is 25ºC; the normal low is 13ºC.

The hottest it's ever been on a July 22 in Brandon was in 1963, when it got up to 35.6ºC. The coolest ever was a 5ºC recorded in 1949.
