Westman's going to get a bit wet

Just think, near the end of winter, this would be considered a balmy day!

Yes, it windy and it looks like rain - even some snow - but that's good news for farmers and even better news for everyone else. This dry weather was causing issues with building foundations, hurting people with dust allergies, and was giving false hope to perennial flowers.

Here's the short-term forecast, courtesy Environment Canada:

• Today: Cloudy, with 70 per-cent-chance of rain showers or flurries. Wind north 30 km/h. High plus 3 C.

• Tonight: Cloudy, with a 70-per-cent chance of rain showers or flurries changing to 70-per-cent chance of flurries near midnight. Wind north 30 km/h. Low minus 1 C.

Friday: Cloudy. with a 70-per-cent chance of flurries changing to 70-per-cent chance of wet flurries in the morning. Clearing late in the evening. Wind north 20 km/h becoming light late in the evening. High plus 4 C.

Saturday: Sunny. Low minus 9 C. High 9 C.
