A woman seen stomping on a cell phone is also accused of resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
Officers were called to a disturbance behind City Hall just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday. They spotted a woman, who was walking with a man, when she grabbed his cell phone and stomped on it.
They moved in to arrest her, but say that she was intoxicated and belligerant, and wouldn't settle down.
While officers tried to take her into custody for breaching the peace, she allegedly kicked and spit on one of the officers.
A 22-year-old Brandon woman is to appear in court on March 4, to face charges of resisting arrest and of assaulting a peace officer.
