A woman caught with two bags of stolen school supplies apparently hadn't learned from her earlier theft charge, police say.
Staff at a store in the 900-block of 18th Street North called the cops after they caught the 29-year-old woman with the stolen school supplies. Police say that when they checked her record, they found that she was already wanted for arrest for theft under $5,000, for attempted fraud under $5,000 and for failing to attend court.
She was arrested for those charges, with police adding a new charge of theft under $5,000.
She was later released from custody, but is to appear in court on Sept. 25 and again on Oct. 23.
