More than two months after she was involved in a crash that sent her to hospital, a Brandon woman faces impaired driving charges.

Police say that the crash happened early in the morning of Nov. 17, at the intersection of First Street North and Kirkcaldy Drive. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the woman had been driving at the time. She was injured, and taken to hospital, although her injuries were not life-threatening.

However, blood samples taken at the time show that the woman had a blood-alcohol content above .08 at the time of the crash.

She was arrested yesterday and charged with impaired driving and drive over .08.

A 25-year-old Brandon woman will appear in court in early February.
