A woman who came back to her parked vehicle found that it had been broken into and her dog stolen.

Police were called early Monday evening by the woman, who said she had left her dog in her vehicle in a parking lot in the 100-block of Sixth Street while she was at an appointment.

When she returned, however, the vehicle had been broken into, contents were strewn about, and her dog was gone.

The dog is  a seven-year-old male teacup poodle, black with a white chin, and he has a tattoo in his left ear.
