Shortly before 10 p.m. on Jan. 11, police received a report that a man was robbed in his residence in the 200-block of 8th Street.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a woman had gained entry into the apartment after the elderly resident thought that she was related to him.

Once inside, she knocked him down to the ground and took his wallet and cheques. The suspect, described as a short, heavy set aboriginal woman with short black hair between the ages of 20-30 wearing black sweatpants and a green jacket with a hood, then fled the scene.

The victim was not injured in the robbery.
