Woman still missing despite call to police

Daniella Joy Morrison, 40, has been missing since the early morning hours of July 10.

Police are still searching for a woman who has been missing since Thursday, despite a miscommunication over the weekend.

Forty-year-old Daniella Joy Morrison hasn't been seen since the early morning hours of July 10, and police have been looking for her since Saturday.

However, a miscommunication among officers lead to reports that she had been located on Sunday. Police said Monday that that was not the case.

Instead, what they say happened was a phone call from someone claiming to be her. Without the caller being willing to say where she was or to meet with police, however, they say they continue to consider her missing until they can confirm her whereabouts and her safety.

Officers say they are still asking for help from the public is finding Morrison. She's described as a First Nations woman with a dark complexion, who is about five feet tall and 130 pounds. She's got black shoulder-length hair and wears glasses.

When some moron calls in pretending to be the missing person, it would seem obvious that this is some kind of criminal action. If that person is caught, what are the repercussions?
