Drive-thru workers in Brandon continue their double-duty as unofficial police informants, nabbing another hungry drunk driver early this morning.
Likely craving some fast food after a night out, the driver was nabbed very shortly after Brandon Police Service received a call from a west-end business at around 2 a.m. this morning.
A 41-year-old female has been charged with impaired driving as a result of the incident.
This looks to be the fifth drive-thru drunk since the beginning of December 2012. Looking back though BPS press releases, four drunk drivers have been charged after being spotted in drive-through lanes prior to this latest catch.
Brandon Sun crunched some numbers last week, and drive-thru workers are running neck-and-neck with city police in the race to nab impaired drivers.
