Arrest in Thompson fatal stabbing

A Thompson man is dead after a violent outburst, and a woman has been charged with his murder.

According to an RCMP release, officers were called to a house on Thompson's Princeton Drive at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday, following reports of a stabbing. There, they found a wounded Glen Martin Ross, 50. He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.

Later that day, 25-year-old Thompson resident Miranda Faith Canabie was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Thompson RCMP continue to investigate with the support of several specialized RCMP crime units.
