Three injured when ATV hits car at Flin Flon intersection, police say

TWO men suffered serious injuries, and one is still in critical condition after the ATV they were riding struck a car in Flin Flon Sunday.

The driver of the car, a 54-year-old woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Her passenger, 58, was not injured.

Flin Flon RCMP said in a release they were dispatched just before 11:30 p.m. to Main Street and Third Avenue in Flin Flon for the collision. The investigation showed the two men on the ATV, a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old man, were travelling northbound on Main Street when they hit the car, travelling eastbound on Third Avenue. Both were taken to hospital with serious injuries and one was still in critical condition Monday.

Alcohol has not been ruled out as a factor. RCMP said neither man on the ATV was wearing a helmet. The investigation continues.
