AP names Gwizdowski as senior VP for Americas revenue, promotes Kaiser to general counsel

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Associated Press is naming broadcast executive David Gwizdowski as its senior vice-president responsible for revenue in the Americas region and promoting Karen Kaiser to senior vice-president, general counsel and corporate secretary.

Gwizdowski's appointment is part of a restructuring that puts all revenue functions in the Americas under a single director. He has served as AP's vice-president of broadcast markets since 2010.

Gwizdowski joined AP in 1997 as a regional TV executive.

Kaiser joined AP as assistant general counsel in 2009 and was promoted to the role of associate general counsel in 2011. During her time at AP she has focused on First Amendment issues. She previously served as senior counsel at Tribune Co.
