Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. reports Q3 loss

KIRKLAND LAKE, Ont. - Ontario miner Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. (TSX: KGI) reports a net loss before income taxes of $5.7 million or $0.08 per share for the third quarter ending January 21, 2013.

This compares to net loss before taxes of $0.8 million or $0.01 per share in the second quarter and a net income before taxes of $13.6 million or $0.20 per share in the third quarter last year.

Kirkland says Q3 production was 21,601 ounces, three per cent lower than the previous quarter (22,349 ounces) and 15 per cent lower than the third quarter of last year (25,295 ounces).
