Quebec's Pro-Fab modular home builder get acquired by U.S. private equity firm

MONTREAL - U.S. private equity firm Wynnchurch Capital Ltd. said Thursday it has acquired Quebec-based modular home builder, Pro-Fab Inc.

Terms of the deal with Pro-Fab, based in Vallee-Jonction, Que., weren't disclosed.

“We are proud to partner with Wynnchurch and look forward to working as a team to become the customers' choice in modular home builders in Canada," Pro-Fab chief executive Andre Turcotte said in a news release.

The Chicago-based investment firm said it will work with Pro-Fab to build on its track record.

Pro-Fab is manufacturer and distributor of modular homes in eastern Canada and the northeastern United States.

Wynnchurch Capital manages a number of private equity funds with more than $800 million under management.
