5-Pin Bowling - Westman 5-pinners flirt with elusive perfection

This has been a high scoring season so far around Westman, with another big game coming from Dave Mansell — 410 — on Feb. 13. Other great games this season include Wes Rushton (418), Ethan Buckman (372), Jerry Sayer (380), Gisele Sayer (371), and Darlene Clisby (385).

While 5-pin perfect games — a perfect score is 450, requiring 12 consecutive strikes bowled in the same game without fouling — are a rare occurance in Canada, it seems like the possibilites are all around us, especially with the Manitoba 220 Provincials being held in Brandon and the upcoming Canadian 5 Pin Open Championships in Winnipeg.

Here’s to more great bowling in the upcoming final weeks of the season!

Brandon Bowlers of the Week, receiving dinner for two at Huggies Restaurant, are Jerry Sayer with a +131 and Lynn White with a +80. Both bowl the Monday Provincial Mixed League.
