The girls lost their opening game 7-1 to the St.Boniface Stars. They then got their game on track and defeated Warren Jr. Mercs 7-1. They then defeated the Fort Gary North Flyers 6-0 to finish the round robin at 2 wins and 1 loss. They faced the St. Boniface Stars in the gold medal game and avenged their opening game 7-1 loss to the Stars with a thrilling, well earned 4-3 shootout win. Scoring for Brandon in regulation time in the final game were Tegan Thompson, Karlyn Gudz and Billie Baranyk. Making several great saves was Maddison Andrew, playing in only her eighth game as a goaltender. Brandon then scored on all three shots in the shootout, to win the gold medal.

Brandon Female Atom Team

The Brandon female atom team topped off a fabulous season in exciting fashion by winning an overtime thriller to take the A/B provincial championship March 7-9 in Portage la Prairie. Down 2-1 with a minute and 30 seconds left, Charly Lindberg scored her second goal to tie the game. She then went on to score the game winner in the second overtime, assisted by Breanne Perrault and Elizabeth Ball. Over the season, the girls won the Brandon female tournament and got silver at tournaments in Regina and Portage. They also won the rural female league finals with two wins over Souris.
