Thanks to the generosity of the Irish Society of Western Manitoba, the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation received $6,000 for the purchase of a "ceiling lift" for the dialysis department at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, in memory of Brian Hamilton.
Frank Arndt, right, owner of myITsource.ca & Corral Communications, hands Chuck Elliott, fundraising campaign chair for the United Way, a cheque for $2,500 on behalf of the staff at Corral Communications and myITsource.ca (SUBMITTED PHOTO)
The lift, that runs along ceiling tracks and is operated by remote control, will assist both patients and staff during dialysis procedures.
This donation, part of the Irish Society’s proceeds from their Lieutenant Governor’s Winter Festival pavilion, demonstrates another community partnership assisting the foundation to achieve its mission "to raise funds to support health-care needs in the regional community."
