The Westman KidSport Committee is accepting applications for the February deadline.
Through KidSport, every child, up to the age of 18, is eligible to receive up to $300 per year. Allocated funds can only be used for registration fees connected to participating in organized sport.
To be considered at the next deadline, applications and required financial documents must be completed and received by the Sport Manitoba-Westman Region office by Feb. 25. Late and incomplete applications will be carried over to be considered at the next deadline — April 25.
If the sport your child will be participating in begins prior to May 1, please submit your application at the Feb. 25 deadline to ensure the sport organization receives funding prior to the sport beginning.
Applications are available at the Sport Manitoba-Westman Region office located in Room 146 at 340 Ninth Street in Brandon or online at www.kidsportcanada.ca. Applications can be mailed in, dropped off in person, or faxed in.
Please remember that the Westman KidSport Committee accepts and reviews KidSport applications six times per year. Applications will be reviewed on the 25th of every second month (February, April, June, August, October, and December).
If you wish to assist a child through the KidSport program, donations are accepted year-round through the Sport Manitoba-Westman Region office or visit www.kidsportcanada.ca. All donations will remain in Westman to help local children. Official tax receipts are available.
