SHUFFLEBOARD

The Westman Shuffleboard Club hosted an annual invitation shuffleboard tournament on July 24 and 25 at the Riverview Curling Club.

Twenty-four two-player teams from Brandon, Erickson, Sandy Lake, Oak Lake, Virden, Winnipeg and Harvey, North Dakota, participated.

A total of 76 games were played and cash prizes totalling $246 were presented to 20 teams in the following events:

The Westman Shuffleboard Club has a membership of 56. Games are played at the Riverview Curling Club on Tuesday and Thursday mornings starting at 9 a.m.

Anyone interested in playing or learning the sport is welcome to drop in anytime after 8:30 a.m.. Shuffleboard cues and instruction are provided and the coffee is free.
