The Provincial Exhibition invites you to share your memories of the Manitoba Summer Fair through a photo contest.
This year marks the 130th anniversary of the Manitoba Summer Fair and the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is “Celebrating 130 Years of Making Memories.”
As the Manitoba Summer Fair has many different components to it and has such a long history, organizers thought it would be difficult to select just one winning picture in a photo contest.
For some, the fair conjures up images of rides lit up against the night sky, the aromas of fair food — cotton candy, mini donuts and corndogs.
Others are reminded of happy memories of years gone by and others focus on how their children have been able to get up close to farm animals, kangaroos, reptiles and more.
Entrants will have an opportunity to be recognized in four separate categories along with a ‘Best Overall’ photo being chosen.
“Our goal with this contest is to visually showcase the memories that we have been a part of for 130 years,” said Karen Oliver, Provincial Exhibition general manager.
“The Manitoba Summer Fair is sharing the same anniversary as the City of Brandon this year and we are so proud to have been a part of this community for this long. We see this contest as a sort of ode to the community and as a way to thank people for all their years of attending the Fair.”
The submitted images will be judged in four specific categories and awarded prizes:
• Best Heritage
• Best Night Life
• Best Family
• Most Thrilling.
There will also be a prize for ‘Best Overall Photo’.

The 130th Manitoba Summer Fair takes place June 6-10 at the Keystone Centre.
