TORONTO - Seven-time Juno Award nominee Kathleen Edwards is casting doubt upon the future of her music career.

The Ottawa singer/songwriter wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday: "I'm really sorry but I'm pretty sure I don't want to make music anymore."

She said she had been turning down gigs and that despite her efforts, she just couldn't find a way to get "back in the saddle."

She went on to speculate on her next career, including "landscaper," "Farmer" or "coffee trailer owner."

Edwards' last album was 2012's "Voyageur," which brought the singer her highest chart positions yet in Canada (where it went to No. 2) and the U.S. (39).

Addressing her fans directly, she said she needs "some kind of change" and acknowledged that no final decision had been made.

"Maybe this feeling will pass, and maybe it won't, but I hope you'll understand it isn't for lack of love and support I've had from you all," she wrote.
