NEW YORK, N.Y. - The musical "Titanic" has reversed course and will no longer steam onto Broadway this fall.

Producers cited "the lack of the availability of a Broadway house" on Wednesday for postponing the upcoming revival. "Revised plans will be announced as soon as scheduling allows," they said in a statement.

The musical tells the story of the ship's ill-fated maiden voyage and encounter with an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean. The show, which has a score by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone, focuses on the vessel's passengers in first-class, second-class and steerage.

It won Tony Awards in 1997 for best musical, best score, best sets and book of a musical, and lasted over 800 performances.
