Call first before shopping in flood zone

Starbucks customers enter the coffee shop beside Subway, which closed its doors due to flood concerns on Monday. Many businesses in the Corral Centre chose to close their doors on Monday as a flood precaution.

Businesses in the Corral Centre and 18th Street North affected by the flood evacuation zone are either closed or closing later today.

Please note that the evacuated areas are off limits to business owners, residents — and customers — except for people who have been given permission by the city to check sump pumps on their properties.

The city has asked that all citizens try to avoid the region. Anyone who intends to shop at at in the Corral Centre should call the business to confirm they are open before leaving their residence.
