Olympic performer
A dancer who grew up in Brandon and received her early training at the Brandon School of Dance, is involved in the Olympic Arts Festival.
Tia Vandermeulen was chosen to perform in “Rise” by choreographer Toru Shimazaki. “The contemporary teacher at the Goh Ballet chose 12 dancers to dance the piece and I was chosen as one of the 12,” said the 16-year-old, who now trains in Vancouver.
