A 15-year-old boy was charged with impaired driving after being stopped on the 300 block of Assiniboine Avenue at approximately 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police responded to reports of an impaired driver outside the
7-Eleven store on 10th Street, but the driver had already left the area.
Then, 50 minutes later, the driver drove back to the area and backed into a pole. He again drove away, but police caught up to him on Assiniboine Avenue soon after.
The driver appeared impaired and was taken to the BPS office where he took a breathalyzer and tested twice the legal limit.
He will appear in court on July 24 to face several charges.
