A plane crash at the Russell Airport sent three people to hospital on Sunday.
According to an RCMP release on Tuesday afternoon, the Cessna Model 182P overturned about 500 metres south of the runway.
There was no smoke or fire when emergency crews arrived on scene at around 9:30 a.m. The three occupants, including two female passengers, ages 56 and 83, and the 61-year-old male pilot, were sent to local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
All three are from the Miniota area.
The initial investigation points to difficulties with the takeoff and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada will continue to look into the cause of the crash. However, there is nothing criminal in nature related to the incident.
