After a Brandon engagement last fall that received rave reviews, "Always, Patsy Cline" goes to the MTC Tom Hendry Warehouse Theatre in Winnipeg on May 23 and 24.

"Always, Patsy Cline" is the story of Cline’s career told from the point of view of Louise Seger, a real-life fan. It features more than 25 of Cline’s songs, including hits "Crazy" and "I Fall to Pieces."

Featured performers Kitrina Plante as Patsy and Karen Chrest as Louise are excited to be going to Winnipeg.

"The show was so much fun. Kitrina and I developed great rapport and so I’m really looking forward to working with her again," Chrest said. "She is a fabulous singer and delivers each song perfectly."

Plante is also happy to have a chance to do the show again.

"My mother lives in Gimli and didn’t get a chance to see the show when it was in Brandon," Plante said. "She’s thrilled that we are repeating the show in Winnipeg and bringing a huge group of friends."

The show also includes a first-class band with Sean Keogh, Deveryn Ross, John Thomson, Ken Campbell, Holly Walker and Genista Buehler. Back-up singers in the show are Andrew Mok, Colin Evans, and Clint McLachlan.

George Buri of 7 Ages Productions, who directed and produced the show, has had requests from Brandonites who want to see the show in Winnipeg, so he’s planned a bus trip for the Saturday afternoon show.

"Some people were out of town and missed the show, and others loved it so much they want to see it again. We’ll be leaving Saturday, May 24 at 12 noon to catch the show at 3:30."

Tickets are $60. To reserve a seat on the bus, call 204-727-3156 or 204-724-7573.

Other performances are Friday, May 23 at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Tickets for all shows may be reserved by calling Buri at 204-727-3156 and can be purchased at McNally Robinson or Harlequin Costume in Winnipeg or at the door.
