A 68-year-old Arden man is dead after the vehicle he was driving collided with a train.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Neepawa RCMP responded to a collision between a train and a pickup truck at the Boughton Street intersection in Arden.
Investigation revealed that the driver of an eastbound pickup was travelling at a low rate of speed when he approached an uncontrolled railway crossing. The driver tried to stop, but was struck by a northbound train.
Police said road conditions were icy at the time of the collision.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
