Betty Gibson students celebrate Earth Week

Betty Gibson School is celebrating Earth Week with a variety of activities that will teach the students about Earth Day, recycling, reducing and reusing.

One of the highlights for the week, which kicked off Monday, will be the return of former Betty Gibson student Eli Enns.

He will be guest speaker at a school assembly on Friday, during which he will share his experience as an environmentalist and encourage students to care about the Earth.

Currently, Enns works with ECO Trust Canada in British Columbia where he has been involved in supporting the growth of tribal parks.

The community is invited to join the Betty Gibson staff and students at Friday’s assembly, which begins at 1 p.m.
