House Restaurant, formally known as Wei Na Restaurant, was destroyed by a blaze. The fire call came in at 10 p.m. Saturday evening.

Members of Brandon Fire and Emergency Services fought the fire long into the evening and remained on scene until shortly after the noon hour on Sunday.

The 400-block of 10th Street was closed due to the fire. Traffic problems in the area were caused by the closure, and ongoing roadwork on Victoria Avenue from 10th Street to 18th Street.

The cause of the fire is not yet determined. However, the city suggested it was not a result of Saturday evening’s storm.
