Brandon Police Service is hosting a public forum tonight to discuss its 2014 strategic plan and gather feedback from the community.
The public is invited to attend a town hall-style meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School, 1930 First St.
The meeting will include a short overview presentation by Police Chief Ian Grant regarding BPS’ current strategic plan, the state of policing in Brandon and a discussion on budgeting and finances, according to information on BPS’ website.
From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., BPS will facilitate group sessions during which those in attendance will be led through a discussion “aimed at keying in on important issues for the police service to consider while moving forward.”
BPS asks community members to RSVP by emailing I.email@example.com or calling 204-729-2305.
“With your input we are certain that we can develop a renewed strategic direction that will lead to making Brandon the safest city in Canada.”
