The Brandon Police Service netted one drunk driving suspect during a Roadwatch checkstop on Saturday evening.
A 20-year-old Brandon man drove into the checkstop on the 2200-block of Brandon Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. and showed signs of intoxication.
After he failed to pass the screening test, the driver’s breath samples showed a blood alcohol content over the legal limit.
Due to “other circumstances” on which police didn’t elaborate, the man was jailed at the Brandon Correctional Centre and was released on Sunday to appear in court this week.
