Police charged a Brandon man with impaired driving after a half-ton truck swerving on 18th Street North hit another vehicle.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday, a caller reported observing a half-ton truck swerving side to side and told police that it had hit a vehicle at the intersection in the 900-block of 18th Street North.
There were no injuries.
The truck left the scene and continued driving, but a description was provided to police dispatch as well as direction of travel, a police report said Tuesday.
The vehicle was located on the 2600-block of Victoria Avenue in a parking lot, and the driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested at that time.
The driver provided samples that were three times the legal limit, police said.
A 56-year-old Brandon man will appear in court on Oct. 11 charged with impaired driving.
