A midnight checkstop on Victoria Avenue snared an impaired driver over the weekend.
Police say they were in the west end conducting the checkstop as part of the RoadWatch program on Saturday night. Just after midnight, a male driver was checked who showed signs of intoxication. He was arrested and later gave samples of his breath that were over the legal limit.
A 20-year-old Brandon man is to appear in court Thursday on a charge of impaired driving.
