A downtown restaurant had its front door smashed in and cash stolen from inside early yesterday.
Police say an alarm went off at about 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Officers who responded to the 1100-block of Rosser Avenue found the front door’s glass has been smashed. They checked the area with a police dog, but couldn’t find any suspects.
The cash float from inside a cash box was taken from the restaurant.
Police continue to investigate.
