A series of town hall meetings to be hosted by Brandon East NDP MLA Drew Caldwell will be held next week.
Issues on the agenda include health care, infrastructure, education and Brandon community development.
“Brandon has been at the centre of the Manitoba government’s agenda for several years,” Caldwell said.
“And we want to seek feedback on what we are doing right and what we could be doing better for our community moving forward.”
The town hall meetings will be held Monday at Riverview Curling Club, Tuesday at Brandon City Hall and Wednesday at the Central Community Centre. All meetings will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“With $5.5 billion in provincial investment for infrastructure being committed by our government over the next five years, it is important that we seek feedback,” Caldwell said.
“Major undertakings like the Western Manitoba Cancer Centre and the development of the historic Assiniboine Community College campus on Brandon’s North Hill require that we are vigilant to protect future opportunities.”
Caldwell also announced there will be a free family barbecue at the East End Community Centre on May 9 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
