Angry with Manitoba Public Insurance, a man pulled a knife in the lobby of its Brandon offices, apparently to cut his arm and then sign his name in blood, police say.
Officers were called just past 2 p.m. on Wednesday by an employee of MPI, who said a disgruntled customer had pulled out a knife in the front lobby of their building.
The man, engaged in some type of protest against the corporation, was co-operative with police when they arrived and police say he hadn’t threatened anyone.
A 47-year-old Brandon man is to appear in court on Aug. 27 on a charge of possessing a dangerous weapon.
