Four Brandon residents are facing drug-related charges following an overnight traffic stop on Saturday night, police say.
Brandon Police Service officers stopped a vehicle with four adults and one child and recovered 60 grams of cocaine — which police say has a street value of $6,000.
Along with the drugs, $6,000 in cash was also seized from the vehicle, which was stopped at the 1100-block of Lorne Avenue.
Two adult females, ages 20 and 22, and two adult male, ages 20 and 27, are charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
The age of the child was not available.
According to BPS Sgt. Randy Lewis, the child was taken to his father following the arrests and Child Family Services was notified.
The four suspects are scheduled to appear in Brandon Federal Court on April 11.
