City council will soon be considering citizen appointments to various civic boards and committees.
They’re looking for four people to sit for one-year terms on the board of revision, which considered tax assessment appeals. They’re also looking for three people to sit for two-year terms on the Brandon General Museum and Archives board, plus three people to sit for a year on the poverty committee.
There is also a position open for a year on the Brandon Urban Aboriginal Peoples Council.
Anyone interested in becoming involved on a particular committee can pick up an application form at the city clerk’s office, which is on the second floor of city hall.
Applications have to be dropped off at the same location no later than Nov. 22.
All nominations or applications will be considered by city council in its selection process. Council’s appointments shall be final.
